Happy News in Packerland

After a lot of hearsay, the Packers have confirmed agreeing to terms on a new contract with Greg Jennings. Packersnews.com’s Insider’s Blog has the details here. What I love about it is that Jennings is so shrewd. He signed a three year deal so that he could enter free-agency again at age 29; his prime. Genius. I love the guy!

Count By Twos: 2, 4… 5?

There’s an interesting story at the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinal about the Packers’ nickel and dime defenses this year. There has been speculation abound that the Packers would revert back to a four-man front in their sub packages, but this article tosses all that out the window. Can you say, “2-4-5?” That’s right, two down lineman, four backers, and five DBs. According to the article, it forces offenses to try and figure out which two players will bring the pressure.
